Discover the
quite and quaint Artist village of Grand Case with its wonderful calm
beaches combined with clear water snorkeling.
We depart with our tour guide on a narrated tour with air conditioned
couch from Phillipsburg, the Dutch capital past the Great Salt Pond,
following the North Route overlooking Orient bay to the French side
of the island.
Our destination, Grand Case, a truly artistic French village, the boutique
and gourmet Capital of the Island, with a natural continental ambience.
Our beach site waits with chairs, umbrellas and a welcome drink before
our snorkel adventure.
We board our 50 foot tender with qualified, helpful crew, for the 10
minute boat ride to the snorkel site.
A ten minute boat ride takes us to the Marine Park Nature reserve.
We swim from the boat and spend one hour exploring the natural area
complete with coral reef, sponges and colorful reef fishes.
We return for lunch, relax, browse in the village as we have plenty
